Nov 08, 2011 · I have Vista Ultimate. I installed Cisco VPN 500001.600 without any hitch. I could connect to my work network. The packets sent were excellent but the packets I receive are ZERO. I tried through wireless network as well as wired connection on my Dell Inspiron 1525. I tried pinging the IP address of a machine at my work palce.

I'm trying to connect remotely to my work's computer. I was told by our IT guy to install VPN client 4.0.5(Rel). HOwever, since I have Vista on my laptop, there seems to be a compatibility issue. I tried to remove VPN using a 3rd party software however VPN disappeared from Add/Remove programmes but didnot get properly unistalled from the computer. I tried to find a solution about this on the internet but couldn't find much information. Cisco website gives manual unistall intructions for earlier version in Win XP but not for vista.
