Just flash the netgear firmware from within dd-wrt. After it reboots. Turn it off, then turn it on and reset it it. I am one of tthe moderators on the dd-wrt forum.
I even tried downloading Netgear's official firmware (1.0.9.64_10.2.64, so I could still install DD-WRT), and that failed too. Every time that I've tried to upgrade it or set certain settings (like the SSID and password), it will act as if it's working for 2 seconds or so, and then my browser says "Connection Reset".
